What is CERT?

Techniques of assisted reproduction are among the most widely implanted medical sub-specialities in the world. The CERT is one of the first centres in the Canary Islands and has twelve years' experience in this field.

All techniques are carried out at the Centre: Artificial Insemination, with partner semen or donor semen from the semen bank. Conventional "in vitro" fertilization (IVF), Sperm microinjection (ICSI), Testicular biopsy and epididymis puncture. Egg donation. Freezing of embryos. Long blastocyte cultures and PGD (Preimplantational Genetic Diagnosis). This is a world that is in constant evolution which is beyond the daily practice of gynaecological and urological surgeries.

This is no obstacle to the monitoring of patients who are to undergo these treatments by our professionals. The study and diagnosis corresponds to them as well as, if applicable, the control of the prior treatments and constant contact with the CERT professionals for information and monitoring.
